TWO EX-HOGS SELECTED IN 2010 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL DRAFT

Ex-Hogs Lucas LeBlanc (Central Lafourche High School / Delgado CC) and Clint Dempster (Thibodaux High School / MGCCC / Nicholls State) were both drafted on the MLB Annual Draft on the week of June 7th through 9th.

Lucas was picked in the 11th Round by the Boston Red Sox. He was the 353rd pick in the draft.

Clint was picked by the Minnesota Twins in the 16th Round. He was the 495th player taken in the draft.

2010 REGION XXIII MISS-LOU CHAMPIONS!!!!

DELGADO C.C.

Delgado defeated Meridian Community College 7-3 to capture the Region XXIII - Miss-Lou 2010 Conference Championship. With the win, the Dolphins advanced to the South Central District Regional in Oklahoma this past May.

SOUTHLAND BASEBALL MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission Statement of the Southland Hogs Baseball Organization is threefold:

1. To help develop and maintain nationally recognized recreational, high school, and college baseball programs in the bayou region; 2. To develop college and professional baseball players; 3. To promote a positive community work ethic by building player character and expectations of excellence through “Discipline, Attitude, Teamwork, and Sacrifice.”
